HIGHLIGHTS
CHOPPING TECHNOLOGY – State-of-the-art chopping technology
places the chopping knives as close to the rollers as possible, allowing for the
use of a single, aluminum cast, sealed gear box. Reduces weight, required horsepower
and potential wear points while optimizing the residue management.
LONGEVITY – First chopping heads built in 1986 in
Europe, quickly becoming the market leader for chopping corn heads. Currently more
than 8,000 units in operation in Europe.
QUALITY – Rigorous quality control testing – every
row unit is tested to 130% of operating speed, resulting in less than 1 in 1,000
units with defects, each of which is corrected before leaving the factory.
POWER – With shortened row units, single gear boxes,
highly efficient stripper plates and roller knives, reduced weight and high-quality
engineering and testing, the Capello head merely sips horsepower.
SPEED – High efficiency and low power needs allow
the farmer to harvest at higher speeds, maximizing the number of acres covered and
keeping the combine full: the way a combine works best.
RESIDUE MANAGEMENT – The roller knives pulverize stalks
before the patented chopping system sizes the residue to a uniform, 2 – 4 inch mulch.
The vortex created by the chopping knives prevents windrowing and leaves the chopped
stalk in its row.
HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY - The hoods are man-made polymer
material allowing corn to flow easier and significantly reducing weight. Husks and
stalks glide without sticking, even in bad weather.
MINIMUM LOSS OF COBS - The new hood fitting absorbs
the cob impact and limit cob bounce drastically reducing material loss and husking.
Hydraulically adjustable beveled-edge stripper plates pick the cob cleanly and minimize
kernel loss.
MAXIMUM DURABILITY/MINIMUM MAINTENANCE– No corrosion
or discoloration problems. The weight of the polyethylene hoods is one third that
of the metal version and provides for a decidedly higher elasticity and strength.
Plus, they fold out of the way for maintenance and storage.
DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS – Available in sizes from
4 to 18 rows, 20 to 38 inch row spacings, chopping or non-chopping, folding or rigid….plus
available optional equipment. The Capello head is configurable to the needs of the
farmer and can handle any conditions. An exclusive adjusting system allows you to
set the hoods in as many as 6 different working positions, teamed with the available
automatic header height controller, there’s nothing it can’t handle.
